BLMS Reads: Children’s Literature
June 26 @ 12:00 pm - 5:30 pm
Our first installment of Black Lives Matter Sudbury Reads will focus on Children’s Literature.
On June 26 at 12 p.m., we have a session for younger audiences aged 5 to 8, and on the same day at 3 p.m., we will have a session for youth aged 9 to 14.
Join us for a reading of Trailblazers: The Black Pioneers Who Have Shaped Canada by Tiyahna Ridley-Padmore as well as activities to follow. With our special guest, the author herself, Tiyahna Ridley-Padmore, we will be exploring some of the important Black figures who have contributed to the shaping of this country, and inspired generations of Black Canadians to do the same.
Our virtual event will be held over Zoom. There will be art activities, prizes, education, and so much more!
Fill out our registration form and select the appropriate Book Club and time for you and your child.
