On October 18, 2020, Black Lives Matter Sudbury held a rally calling on community members to support a more inclusive and representative city. The event responded to the municipal government’s demonstrated lack of understanding and attention to issues affecting Black, Indigenous, and People of Colour (BIPOC) residents.
