BLMS Town Hall

On February 25, 2025, Black Lives Matter Sudbury hosted a town hall for Black activists, organizers, educators, students, artists, storytellers, knowledge keepers, caregivers, business owners, workers, and community members in Sudbury. The session provided a space to share experiences, discuss challenges, and shape the future of the organization.

Facilitator: Sumé Ndumbe-Eyoh, Director of the Black Health Education Collaborative and Assistant Professor at the Dalla Lana School of Public Health, University of Toronto

On-site Mental Health Support: Dr. Che Birchwood, bilingual psychologist specializing in clinical research and intervention

The session was delivered in English, with simultaneous French translation. Participants received a $50 honorarium.
